The Securing Cisco Network Devices 642-552 SND is one of the exams associated with the Cisco Certified Security Professional, Cisco Firewall Specialist, Cisco IPS Specialist, and Cisco VPN Specialist certifications. This course covers securing Cisco routers and switches and their associated networks. Topics include; Security threats facing modern network infrastructures, Securing Cisco routers, Implementing basic AAA, Using ACLs to mitigate router and network threats, Implementing secure management and reporting, Mitigating common Layer 2 attacks, and Implementing Cisco IOS Firewall features, Cisco IOS IPS features, and IPsec VPN features using Cisco Security Device Manager.

Course Description

•  This course is designed specifically to prepare students to pass the SND Exam.

•  CCBOOTCAMP offers its students the choice of on-site or remote boot camp. Choose the option which best suites your needs. Attend a boot camp at one of our facilities or attend the boot camp remotely.

•  Class length is five consecutive days, and runs Monday through Friday, typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In addition to classroom time, there will be daily homework assignments to be completed at night. These are very full days, so students should arrive at our facility rested and prepared to work.

•  SND class will have a maximum of twelve students.

•  Each student receives dedicated instructor mentoring to ensure all concepts are completely understood.

•  CCBOOTCAMP courseware and hardware are updated to reflect the current content of the SND Exam. Our courseware and labs are updated after each class based on previous feedback.

•  We offer the most advanced equipment in the industry. You get your own equipment to work with. No gear sharing!

•  Access is provided to the classroom racks 24 hours a day and the instructor is available via cell phone until 12:00 midnight each day.
